After 30 years of fun Richard has dispersed the herd June 3rd 2006 and retired from the Welsh Ponies.

I received 4 mares and a second generation, from our original stud (Crilban Rhett),  two year old stud to continue the Vicker Pony Farm tradition.

    • If you lookup our address on Mapquest or Yahoo maps their supplier is sadly lazy. They will show us as being on the North edge of Creston. You actually have to follow Highway 25 five miles West and North to mile maker 42 which is practically in our front yard. Here is a better local map.

  • Pure bred Welsh, the best disposition pony.
  • Mostly sorrels with lots of white markings, usually
  • Section A (up to 50" [12.2h for those from a horse background]).
  • Stocky, heavy boned conformation.
  • Strictly a breeding farm (we don't buy or trade).
    • We have sold ponies through out most of the United States (many sight unseen).

    At the 2003 Iowa State Fair Richard Vicker was inducted into the Iowa Draft Pony Hitch Association Hall of Fame.
